This site was made by me, Hans, a software engineer living in Munich. I made it for fun in my spare time for UEFA Euro 2016. Six years ago, this site was refurbished and got some new features for the FIFA World Cup 2018. For Euro 2020 in 2021, the code was put on a more modern base. Yes! You are free to invite your friends, colleagues and family to play here. If you feel proficient enough you can host this site on your own server (open-source on GitHub).

You get points if you made a bet for a match and the match is over.

  • You get ★★★★ (4 points) for a correct bet OR
  • You get ★★★☆ (3 points) for the correct goal difference OR
  • You get ★★☆☆ (2 points) for the correct winner OR
  • You get ☆☆☆☆ (0 points) in any other case or if you did not make a bet

Any match may have an additional match factor. This is indicated as ×2 . The points you get for a match are multiplied by this factor.

Scoring Example
You made this bet: 4:3 in the match Germany - Denmark. You would get

  • ★★★★ , if the result was 4:3
  • ★★★☆ , if the result was 1:0, 2:1 or 3:2 ...
  • ★★☆☆ , if Germany was the winner

You made this bet: 2:2 in another match. You would get

  • ★★★★ , if the result was 2:2
  • ★★★☆ , if the result was 0:0, 1:1, 3:3 ...

The rank on the highscore is not only based on the score, but also on the number of stars someone received (the CNT column on the highscore. ). To be more precise, the rank is based on the following statistics in that order:

  1. Score (sum of all points)
  2. CNT ★★★★ (number of times the exact result was bet)
  3. CNT ★★★☆ (number of times the correct goal difference was bet)
  4. CNT ★★☆☆ (number of times the correct winner was bet)
  5. CNT ☆☆☆☆ (number of times a wrong bet was made)

Two players will only ever have the same rank if all five statistics are the same.

Ranking Example
User A and B share the same rank because they have the same score and the same number of stars. Although user C has the same score as A and B, he has a lower rank because he has a lower number of ★★★★ . Although user D has the same score as A, B and C and the same number of ★★★★ as C, he has a lower rank because he has a lower number of ★★★☆ .

No. Only goals made during the 90+30 minutes (two halves + overtime) period of the match will be used as the match result.

Yes and no. Yes, you can see bets of other users once a match has started or is finished. No, you can only see your own bets as long as the match has not yet started.
